This free event takes you inside the studios of artists to learn about our creative process.

Betsie’s studio is within the Spaceport complex. In one stop, you will see ceramic artists, mixed media art, and where Betsie slings oil paint. We light a bonfire on cold days, offer treats and art sales, and welcome all ages.

Explore 73 studios and 93 artists!

Half the artists participate the first weekend, the other half participate on the second weekend. This is a free event for the whole family.

The Open Studios Tour provides an opportunity for the public to meet local artists in their studios, learn about who the artist is and what inspires them, and to experience their creative process in the context in which it is created.

The tour includes an art giveaway, at each studio visited a stamp is provided, 10 stamps fill the Passport. Each completed Passport is entered in a drawing for a chance to win art.

Boise Art Museum’s Art in the Park is widely recognized as one of the premiere cultural events in the Northwest. This open-air festival, held on the weekend following Labor Day each September, provides visitors of all ages and interests with the opportunity to meet more than 200 artists and purchase their works. During the three-day event, Boise Art Museum presents a variety of contemporary arts and crafts along with wonderful food, live music and entertainment, and hands-on activities for children.
